Effect of accident on the part of the Employer

The cost or value to the employers of occupational accident or illness are also estimated to be we can not predict .If a small business, the cost of an accident even can be a financial disaster .for employees some of the direct & indirect costs for maintaining the post accident condition .


The direct costs are:

1, If the employees payment for work not performed.
* Medical and compensation payment, lost time of injured employees  wages  paid for worker other than compensation.
* Repair or replacement of damaged machinery and equipment.
* Reduction or temporary halt in production,increased training & administration expense for new workers.
*it affect morale of workers.these are some direct cost to the employer.


Indirect costs are:
* The injured ill worker has to be replaced & new worker has to be trained and given time to adjust the surroundings & machinery.
*It take time before the new worker is producing at the rate of the original worker(ill  worker).the time must be devoted to obligatory investigation.
*Accident often arose the concern of fellow workers and influence labour relations in negative way.
Poor health & safety conditions in the work place can also lead to poor public relation and more ever costs of work related accident or incident to workers and their families & to the employers are effect very high degree.
